ホワイトデーの違い

日本とイギリスの記念日には似ていることも多いですが、似ていても微妙に違う場合も多いです。

例えば、日本ではバレンタインに女性から男性にチョコレートを贈りますが、イギリスでは逆に男性女性、好きな人同士でプレゼントを交換します。そして、伝統的に、周りの人に知られないように贈ります。

また、ホワイトデーはイギリスにはありません。日本のホワイトデーにマシュマロが伝統的ですが、それにプラスしてぬいぐるみやアクセサリーをプレゼントするのが主流となっています。

White Day - Differences Between the UK and Japan

The funny thing about Japan and the UK is the fact that although there are many similarities, they are often skewed to the point that the origin is usually profoundly difficult to fathom.

In Japan, it is traditional and customary to give chocolates to the men. In the UK, presents are given to both counterparts and chocolates are just one of the many things that are given. Valentine gifts are also not a requisite, but a decision based on affection.

Another special day that is celebrated a little differently in Japan is White Day. The funny thing is, there is no White Day in the UK. In Japan, it's a day when it's the men's turn to give or return presents to their counterparts.
