2008 was a roller coaster ride and an adventurous year. The reviewing and introduction of new services had been relatively straightforward and agreeable with few teething problems. 2009 will be a new year where we will be kick-starting with the help of a new ad placement to further our presence.

In conjunction with AFN Advertisement we have a new ad campaign where we will launch our Inclusive Delivery Service for a limited time period. Our ad will again be featured in the ever popular Japan Sports Nippon Newspaper (Suponichi) in which a decision was made for a full spread ad.

The current name Present Morgan House has often been confused with a variety of companies. In fact, we started out as an export company and we were thinking of manufacturing certain products which would appeal to a niche clothing market.

That project is currently still ongoing and we are very excited about it. However, due to the current economical climate, we have had to review and change accordingly. Hence, an additional project, the Present Morgan House Online Store, was established.

In order to clarify the specifics of the company, we have been inuandated with brand marketing companies. It has been a very flattering experience, but unfortunately at this current early stage we are not able to be in the position to handle the logistics. Step by step is currently the most prudent policy. Which goes without say of course.

However, an advertisement would be essential to establish the presence of the company. We are delighted to say that in conjunciton with AFN Advertising Company we have a small advertisement in the popular Sports Nippon Newspaper (Suponichi).

ラブスプーンは伝統的に一本の木から作られています。それはとても丁寧に彫られていて、若い男性が愛する女性に愛を告白するためのものとして使われていました。イギリスのウェールズでは、一つの文化として人々に大切に守られてきました。

ラブスプーンは現在とてもロマンチックなものと思われていますが、昔はそうではありませんでした。昔はスープスプーンだったのです。それがだんだん月日を重ね、彫刻やデコレーション等、とても繊細で凝ったものに変化していきました。そのため、多くの人々に愛されるようになりました。

The love spoon is traditionally made from a single piece of wood. This single piece of wood is then carved with care and then used as a meaningful love token for men to give to their precious loved ones. The love spoon was especially a cultural significance to the people in Wales.

In Wales, one of the earliest love spoons to be ever found was displayed at St Fagans National History Museum which is near the city of Cardiff. The love spoon displayed there is dated from around 1667, however the love spoon dates back many generations before that.

The love spoon was not always as romantic and preciously meaningful as it is today. It first started out as a simple soup spoon. However, as a result of generation after generation of decorative implementations, it is now a very decorative and sought after item that many people from all over the world are proud to own.

テディベアはよく子供の玩具と思われています。それは、子供にとって心を落ち着かせるものです。しかし、一体どこから来たのでしょうか？

実は、テディベアはアメリカのセオドア・ルーズベルト大統領にまつわる話から始まりました。彼はミシシッピにハンティングに出かけた際、熊を銃で撃つ事を拒み、その話が新聞の漫画で紹介されました。その漫画で描かれた熊はとてもかわいらしく、愛着がわくものでした。

その漫画の熊はすぐに話題となり、玩具メーカーはその熊をぬいぐるみにしたいと考えました。それに端を発し、人々の中にテディベアが広まりました。女性にはアクセサリー、男性にはマスコット、そして、子供には一緒に写真におさまるアイドルとして愛されるようになりました。しかし、現代では少し違いますよね。

近頃では、テディベアは特に高価なコレクターズアイテムやインテリアや雑貨として珍重されています。値段もとても高く、ブランドになりました。

ブランドネームを持つテディベアもいいですが、さまざまなベアがいるように、ひとつひとつの個性が大切だと思います。

Teddy bears are often thought of as a toys for children. Something of a comforter that allows them to feel safe and loved. But where did it come from?

In fact the Teddy bear was named after the American President Theodore Roosevelt, on his hunting trip to Mississippi. On his trip he refused to shoot a bear and became a topic of political persuasion. A political cartoon was drawn of the incident in which it depicted the bear as a cute and small animal.

It was this incident that toy manufacturers began to create these lovely stuffed bears. This began the craze in which ladies carried them as accessories, gentlemen wanted them as mascots and little children wanted to be photographed with them. However, of course today it's quite different.

In recent times, teddy bears have become expensive collector's items and interior decorations. Prices for such items are very high, one wonders what makes Teddy Bears so special. Some have a certain theme and other's have become brands.

Brands are great but what's most important is it's personality. Those that look cute are great, but I especially like those with a British theme.
